TePe Yellow Interdental Brush: Size Guide for Tight Gaps

Quick answer

The TePe Original Yellow interdental brush (0.7mm) is designed for tight gaps between teeth. Use this guide to confirm the fit and adopt the correct daily cleaning routine.

How to choose and use the TePe Yellow interdental brush for tight gaps

1. Test the fit gently: Insert the brush into the gap at a slight angle. It should slide in with light resistance, not force. If it bends or feels loose, try the next size up or down. Common mistake: forcing the brush can injure gums. If it hurts, the size is wrong.
2. Use a gentle back-and-forth motion: Once the brush is in the gap, move it back and forth 2-3 times without twisting. The coated wire prevents scratching, but aggressive motion can still irritate. Checkpoint: you should feel the bristles contacting both sides of the gap, not just one.
3. Rinse and store dry: After each use, rinse the brush under water, shake off excess, and let it air dry in an open container. Replace when bristles are frayed or worn. A wet brush stored in a closed case can breed bacteria. Always dry before storing.
